Welcome	to	ESL!! 이중언어 반에 오신 걸 환영합니다!
This	program	is	designed	to	meet	the	needs	of	limited	English proficient	students	and	to	help	them
make	a	smooth	transition	into	the	new	language	and	culture	while	maintaining	their	own	cultural
identity.
Our goal	is	to	provide	our	ESL	students	with	the	best	possible	educational	experience in	America	and
help	them	improve	their	English	skills.	This	will	be	a	year	of	many	transitions.	There	will	be	new
teachers	to	meet,	new	books	to	read,	new	friends	to	make and	more	English	skills	to	master.	Our	ESL
students	will	learn	English	through Social	Studies,	Science,	literature,	and	other	content	based
subjects. We'll	be	reviewing	a	lot,	learning	even	more,	and	of	course	having	some	fun	along	the	way!
Communication	between	home	and	school	is	most	important. Please	check	your	child's	ESL	notebook
every	day.	If	you	have	any	questions	or	concerns,	feel	free	to	contact	your	child's	ESL	teacher	by
phone,	email	or	writing	a	note	in	your	child's	ESL	notebook.
Your	child's	ESL	teacher	will	tell	him/her	what	to	bring	to	their	ESL	classes.	Please	have	your	child	be
prepared	for	their ESL	classes.
We	have	a	great	year	ahead	of	us. It	will	be	an	exciting,	challenging	and	a	very	important	one! Thank
you	in	advance	for	your	cooperation	and	support.
