In order to use this spreadsheet efficiently, the FILTER command is your best resource. Instructions are as follows:
1. Place your cursor anywhere in ROW 1 on the page labeled KEY
2. Go to Data, Filter, AutoFilter
3. You will see downward facing arrows appear at the top of each column
4. You can then then filter any of the qualifying entries, or all or none

For instance, you could choose to see nothing but the Agents (under Genre) or all of the contacts in NY (State), or all of the Vice Presidents (Job Title)

A few words of advice on how to approach the professionals listed in this database...

"- You don’t need to talk to the contact personally the first time you call, his or her assistant will without a doubt be able to help you in the first place.
- Call the contact before sending anything like a CD, a press release, etc. Many label and booking professionals have established guidelines for the submission of both solicited and unsolicited material. Be sUre to write: REQUESTED MATERIAL on the front of the package.
- Mention that you are thinking of hiring him/her for the project you want to discuss.
- Specify the professional contacts that you might have in common.
- Mention that you are calling him/her since he/she is in the European Music Office guide.
- Have your facts and figures ready (number of records sold, number of tour dates booked, number of countries toured, etc.)
