Dr. Coverstone has many years of experience with children from birth through 21 years and will help you meet the unique needs of your students with hearing loss. Hearing loss is a sensory disorder with profound implications for people of all ages and particularly for children. Hearing loss which is not identified or not properly treated and supported may lead to delays in all areas of a child’s development, including speech and language, academic, social, emotional, and cognitive.

From early intervention through post-secondary planning, Dr. Coverstone can help support your students with hearing loss through consultation, evaluation planning, assessment and interpretation, and provision of technology and support services to enable your students and support their academic progress. Developmentally Adapted Physical Education (DAPE)

Megan Glashagel is a special educator who is licensed in DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disability). I have an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) certificate as well. I have taught students from kindergarten through age 21 with both DCD and ASD in a variety of school settings. Jessica Schlegel, M.S. Ed.

Evaluation Consultation Services include collaborating with your staff in preparing a student’s evaluation or re-evaluation plan. I will conduct student observations and offer guidance through the pre-referral process. I will work with staff to coordinate referrals for ECSE, participate in evaluation planning, conduct evaluations using school preferred assessments, and offer support to families to help bridge collaboration between home and school.

Individual Education Program (IEP) Consultation Services will include assisting staff in preparing an IEP for a student through the initial evaluation, re-evaluation or annual review. I will participate in team meetings, observations, data collection, and writing the IEP to best meet each students goals and strengths. I will provide adaptations and modifications to the special education team as well as work with the general education teachers and paraprofessionals to provide the most successful learning environment for each student.
