Alfy Veretto, Virgin America

Alfy Veretto is Virgin America’s Manager of IFE and Partnerships where he maintains the IFE department for Virgin America. He previously developed the IFE department for Frontier Airlines from 2002 - 2008. Before his years in the airline industry, he was the Program Director for KECY-TV, dealing with TV syndication and movie studio relationships.

Alfy is the Chair of the Nominating Committee and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee.

Brian Richardson, American Airlines

Brian Richardson is currently American Airlines’ Director of Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity. He has over eight years at American Airlines via roles with, AA Vacations and Merchandising. Brian has served more than two years in his role as Director of IFEC. 

Dominic Green, Thales Avionics, Inc.

Dominic has 15 years of experience in the airline passenger experience business - with a focus on IFE - in a variety of content marketing, project management and client service roles. He is currently the Senior Director, Content Business at Thales Avionics, Inc. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Client Services at Spafax.

Dominic previously served on the Education Committee and the Awards Task Force. He is continuing his role as Chair of the Governance, Events & EXPO and Awards. Since 2009, he has served as Secretary on the WAEA/APEX board.

Joan Filippini, Paramount Pictures

After receiving her MBA, Joan joined Bank of America in the Capital Markets Sales group concentrating in Investment Banking and Hedging Products for large investment borrowers.  With her emphasis in Finance, she then joined the team that produced the DreamWorks business plan.  After raising her children and deciding to get back into the work force she rejoined DreamWorks as Head of Non Theatrical Sales in 2000 as well as heading distribution for Go Fish Pictures.  Joan joined Paramount in 2006 and is currently the Senior Vice President Non Theatrical Distribution.

Joan is the Chair of the Finance Committee and TV Market Conference Task Force.

Patrick Brannelly, Emirates

Patrick Brannelly currently serves as the Vice President: Corporate Communications Product, Publishing, Digital & Events of Emirates. In addition to IFE&C, Patrick is responsible for Digital, Visual Services, Creative Services, Events and Merchandising.  

Patrick joined the board for the first time in 1996 and was serving as president in 1999. Exactly 10 years later in 2009 he agreed to join the board again as Vice President and was then the main force in transforming the WAEA to APEX and expanding the membership base to include the entire passenger experience. He has graciously agreed to step back into the role of Past President.

Kevin Bremer, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Kevin Bremer currently holds the position of Senior Manager – Passenger Interface – Interiors Engineering for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. His previous responsibilities at Boeing Commercial Airplanes include the positions of IFE Feature Strategy Airplanes, IFE Technology Manager, IFE Installation Manager and Customer Engineer (IFE Option Manager).

Kevin has been actively involved in APEX since 2000 including Co-Chairing the Education Committee and serving as Chair of the Avion Task Force. Kevin was re-elected to the Board and will serve a two-year term. He will serve as Co-Chair of the Education Committee, which has organized a number of successful events over the year.

Michael Childers, Lufthansa Systems

Michael Childers is currently the Chief Consultant, Content & Media Strategy with Lufthansa Systems. He has been active in this industry since 1979, first as COO of an independent content distributor in IFE, then as President & CEO of LightStream Communications Group. He was an independent consultant for five years, was Managing Director, Content & Media Development, at The IMS Company. 

As a freelance journalist for more than 15 years he has written about the industry and its issues for the Airline Passenger Experience magazine, Aircraft Interiors International, AVION, and Inflight Magazine, and was managing editor of the association’s WIN newsletter for 18 months. He also co-founded WAEA's Digital Media Distribution Technical Committee that drafted IFE's first digital delivery standard, has chaired the Digital Content Management Working Group for more than 12 years, and has been a member of the APEX Technology Committee's Leadership Team for three years. He currently serves as a representative of APEX on the FAA PED ARC and Technology Committee Chair.

Éric Lauzon, Air Canada

Éric Lauzon holds the position of Manager In-Flight Entertainment at Air Canada, since September 2011. As part the Air Canada’s Marketing & Product Design team, Éric is responsible for the development, the implementation and the management of passenger-compelling IFE content, processes and strategies. Employed by Air Canada for more than 18 years, Éric started as a Sales & Customer Service agent. After he graduated with his Master ès Science degree in International Marketing, he joined the Marketing Communications department in 2000 where he started as a Tourism Marketing coordinator and ended as the Manager – Marketing Communications - Loyalty, responsible for the development and execution of  advertising, direct response and loyalty marketing campaigns targeting Air Canada's best customers. Now in charge of their in-flight entertainment experience, he always strives to ensure it is the best one possible.

Luay Qunash, Royal Jordanian Airlines

Luay currently serves as the Director of In-Flight Services and Product for Royal Jordanian Airlines.  He brings a great volume of industry experience.  Luay has been involved directly with cabin and crew management, airline systems and procedures as well as onboard training.  As he developed his career, he began to work closely with IFE which led to managing In-Flight Entertainment for Royal Jordanian Airlines. 

Luay re-joins the APEX Board of Directors.  He has served on the Board in the past and continues his role of Membership Co-Chair.

Mary Rogozinski, Gogo

Mary has been very involved in the area of airline passenger experience since 1990.  She started at United Airlines, in various roles surrounding IFE&C systems, strategy development, product definition, implementation and facilities and customer technology for United’s airport lounges, overseeing major building and refurbishment projects.  In this role she also represented United on the Star Alliance Airport Lounge team, working closely with representatives of the other Star Alliance member airlines on product and policy coordination. For the last 5 years, she has worked at Gogo.  She started as a manager of airline accounts, working closely with several of Gogo’s key airline customers.  During this time, she launched Gogo on AirTran Airways and Frontier Airlines and managed the launch of streaming video on American Airlines.  Most recently, she manage all content partner relationships for Gogo’s streaming video product, working closely with Gogo’s airline customers and content distributors.  

She has served on the Eduation Committee for a number of years and is currently the Education Committee Co-Chair.  

Ingo Wuggetzer, Airbus

Ingo is the Vice President Cabin Innovation & Design at Airbus. He has 19 years experience in both the airline and aircraft manufacturer business. In his current role, he established a customer centric approach, including the key upfront services ‘trend and market research’. On this basis, he set up a cabin product and technology strategy as a guideline for future cabin innovations. Prior to Airbus, he was with Lufthansa for almost ten years and held several positions.

He is an active member of the Education Committee and has made presentations at various APEX events.  Ingo currently Chairs the Marketing & Communications Committee.
