The resident will engage in a range of activities that develop leadership and teaching (both didactic and experiential) skills. Through active participation in education opportunities both in the community and academic settings, graduates of this program will have the management and clinical skills necessary to operate a profitable pharmacy while providing financially sound patient care and disease management services. The residents have the ability to complete a teaching certificate. The resident also has the opportunity to participate in ambulatory care clinics. The residency is broken down in 7 core areas: 1) orientation 2) direct patient care 3) practice management which involves implementation and development of new disease management programs 4) project development 5) teaching opportunities 6) staffing 7) corporate central management.
