When I go to garage sales I always look for gardening supplies. Some of my
favorite shovels came from a neighbor’s garage sale.
Here is something that was brought to TSHA to sell in our annual garage
sale. This is a pole branch pruner. It is about 5 1/2 ft long with a rope
controlled blade on the end. It is used to trim tree branches high in the
tree.
We have more interesting and useful items! What are you looking for? We
probably will have it!

Needed:
Rummage Sale Items, Volunteers & Shoppers!
It’s almost time again for the gigantic annual TSHA Rummage Sale that
benefits United Way and TSHA. We’ve gotten lots of great treasures (basketball
goal, air hockey table, LOTS of great clothes, furniture, etc, etc), but
we still need YOURS.
You can count it as a tax deduction.
We will happily take items in good condition for our annual rummage sale
on September 17. (Please, do NOT bring broken or non-working items.)
Bring donations to TSHA before September 9, as we will have volunteers to
sort and price them during the United Way Day of Caring on September 10.
We also need volunteers to take a shift on the 17th itself, helping set
up, tear down, and keep organized in between. This is a fun day, with lots of
time for visiting and a chance to get great bargains as well. (Plus, we’ll
feed you!)
Lastly, what’s a sale without shoppers? On September 17, from 8:00 –
3:00, you’ll be able to pick up an entire new wardrobe for the whole family
for the cost of a new outfit each, redecorate your home, or equip your game
room. Tell all your friends to come by!
For more information call TSHA at 918-832-8742 v/tty, or email
_lhawkins@tsha.cc_ (mailto:lhawkins@tsha.cc) .

Passing this on for those who might benefit….
Hello Everyone,
It is time for the August meeting of the Northeast Oklahoma Cochlear
Implant Support Group. As you know, this is the last of our informal summer
meetings. Next month we will begin having invited speakers to share
information on different topics of interest in addition to our regular time for
sharing.
Our picnic was rained out in May so this month we will have an evening
picnic in our cool and dry meeting space at TU. Families are invited to
attend. I will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring a covered dish of
your choice and your favorite drink. We already have members who have
signed up to bring potato salad, deviled eggs, lemon bars, olives, baked beans,
and a mystery dessert. Doesn’t that already make you hungry?
If your children are coming, please bring some toys or books for them. We
do not have playground facilities.
PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL BY 6:00 PM, TUESDAY, AUGUST 24TH IF YOU PLAN TO
ATTEND. LET ME KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING SO WE KNOW HOW MANY HOT DOGS,
HAMBURGERS AND PAPER GOODS TO BUY. VEGETARIAN OPTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE
UPON REQUEST.
See you on Thursday!

Subject: [O-Terps] Silent Auction Items

Hello All,

I will be in charge of collecting the items we will have for the Silent
Auction for the 2011 OKRID Conference. Please contact me if you have
anything you would like to donate or if you have some good ideas you are willing
to share with me. We had some great items last year and I would love to see
even more this year! Anything you or your friends/family make, services
offered that we could get gift certificates for or anything you think would
make a great auction item is what we are looking for! It's never too early
to start thinking and collecting.

You can reach me at _shlsmth@gmail.com_ (mailto:shlsmth@gmail.com) or
405-206-1190 cell

Thanks so much!!

Shelley Smith

19. Two Priests and ...........
Posted by: "Buckley, Mari" bucklml@osuokc.edu merrysigns
Date: Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:56 am ((PDT))

Two priests decided to go to Hawaii on vacation.

They were determined to make this a real vacation
by not wearing anything that would identify them
as clergy. As soon as the plane landed they headed
for a store and bought some really outrageous shorts,
shirts, sandals, sunglasses, etc.

The next morning they went to the beach
dressed in their 'tourist' garb.
They were sitting on beach chairs,

enjoying a drink, the sunshine and the scenery when a
'drop dead gorgeous' blonde in a topless bikini
came walking straight towards them..
They couldn't help but stare.

As the blonde passed them she smiled and said
'Good Morning, Father ~ Good Morning, Father,'
nodding and addressing each of them individually,
then she passed on by. They were both stunned.
How in the world did she know they were priests?
So the next day, they went back to the store
and bought even more outrageous outfits.

These were so loud you could hear them before you even saw them! Once
again, in their new attire, they settled down in their chairs to enjoy
the sunshine. After a little while, the same gorgeous blonde, wearing a
different colored topless bikini, taking her sweet time, came walking
toward them. Again she nodded at each of them, said

'Good morning, Father ~ Good morning, Father,'
and started to walk away. One of the priests couldn't stand it any
longer and said, 'Just a minute, young lady.' 'Yes, Father?'
'We are priests and proud of it, but I have to know, how in the world
do you know we are priests, dressed as we are?' She replied,

'Father, it's me, Sister Kathleen.

A smile - is a sign of joy.
A hug - is a sign of love.
A laugh - is a sign of happiness.

And a friend like me??
Hell...that's just a sign of good taste!!

There comes a time when a woman needs to
stop thinking about her looks and focus her
energies on raising her children. This time
comes at the moment of conception. A child
needs a role model, not a supermodel.
